The weekend started on Friday night with her talk. It was hugely inspiring and spanned her career, design process and inspirations.
Then on Saturday she held a beginning workshop.
We finished off the weekend with an advanced workshop on Sunday.
It was a really wonderful weekend. Everyone was so excited and eager to quilt quilt quilt after their time with her. She’s so nice and encouraging. You can see all of my photos here.
She put together a a beautiful, bright and colorful quilt with the blocks we all sewed up for her.
Elizabeth is the last Block Party bee member to be a part of the tour. Head on over to see her post and for a chance to win a copy of the book!
Next stop on the Block Party blog tour?? Jacquie’s place! Head on over to Tallgrass Prairie Studio for another chance to win a copy of the book!
The quilt that Jacquie made with our bee blocks is a stunner (weren’t those pops of red a brilliant addition??) and was quilted by none other than Angela Walters.
At Rashida’s blog, I Heart Linen! Her blog has been an inspiration to me since the beginning of my sewing days so it was a thrill to have her participate in the Block Party bee and book! We made blocks for this fun hexagon quilt for her month of the bee!
