I signed up for the JC Handmade Spare a Square scrap challenge and made this fun little wall hanging! The idea is that we all sent in a square of fabric, they were cut up and we got back ten different scraps to make something (anything!) with. We could add anything we want, we just need to use all of the scraps. Here’s what I did:
I’m forever obsessed with wonky log cabin blocks, so I indulged my obsession. All of the patterned fabrics are the scraps I was sent, and the solids I added. It was fun to to stretch myself a bit and use colors I’d normally not use…
It’s small. It measures 9″ X 31″ and it’s now hanging in my sewing room!

Very fun! I was going to remark how speedy you are with those square you JUST blogged about til I realized these weren’t the same ones. hee hee..
Looks great!
So cool!
Cute! And it could make a cute table topper too.
I was just admiring it this morning on the flickr group. Great job! I think I’ve finally settled on what to make with my scraps today… so I’m hoping to get started tonight!
Beautiful AND clever! Love the colors and what a perfect place to hang it.
the obsession works well for you! love that you could hang it in your sewing room. very fun to see every day.
