Around the sewing room…

I’ve been planning…

(Need to get started on the Habitat Challenge!)

and quilting!

This actually isn’t how I usually work. Normally I have one project going that I finish before I start another but recently I’ve had too much on my plate to work that way.  Makes me feel scattered but what can you do? I’m still getting work done…

And thank you all so much for all of your kind comments about my latest quilt. There were so many great name suggestions.  I heard Crossroads from a few people and I really liked that, both because the piecing looks kinda like roads (let’s go with it…) and because the piecing crosses itself.  So that’s what I’m going with!   Thanks again for all of your ideas!

Wow – one project at a time? You are so disciplined, Alissa! Even if you have more going on than usual, it all looks fabulous!

Only one project at a time. I wish. But I’m too hyper. I need to choices to attend to what my mood is that day. (Like now, I feel like sewing, but I only have cutting to do and I’m so not in the mood.)

Hi! Greetings from Finland! I love your quilts! They are fantastic! I see that you have the red Janome. Do you like it? I have the older one, Professional 6600. Have you had an other Janome?

Hi Ullan! I do love my Janome Horizon. I should mention that Janome sponsored me with it so it’s easy to love, but I really think it’s the machine I would buy if I were in the market. The space it provides is just SO great. And everyone i know who has the 6600 loves that one too!

I love quilts with the Retro look. I am trying to utilize my “Stash” for quilts – not purchasing new fabric and this book would be a great assistance in that endeavor !!
