All done with these coin quilts that I made simultaneously. I enjoyed making them at the same time. Since they are this small (34″ x 46″) it didn’t feel like it took too long.
I really love so many of the fun fabrics in these!
I didn’t intend to do different backs, but after mistakenly I sewed the strip of patterned fabric upside down on the girl quilt, I thought, why not?!?
And some simple solid bindings. I have found that I really love solid bindings as a nice simple frame to the louder coin strips.
Up next, two more baby quilts, also made at the same time!

no, no, really, I
love all these fun fabrics you are using. These quilts are too sweet. i want to go make one RIGHT NOW. okay, maybe tomorrow.
Beautiful!!! I wish I knew more babies, because baby quilts are so nice and quick to make; usually, adding extra rows to a pattern still looks the same, just bigger. I could be so much more creative if I could make more (smaller) quilts… I’ll have to tell my friends to get a move on in the baby-department
Love to see new stuff on your blog
These are so cute. And nice to have something that goes together fairly quickly. I just spent a weekend at a quilting retreat and spent from 1 p.m. Thursday through 8 p.m. Friday (with about 8 hours of sleep) making only FOUR blocks….for a BABY! It will be great when it’s finished but I decided that baby needed a much simpler quilt. And these are perfect!
I love that ladybug material, it is so cute. I love that the 2 quilts match and compliment each other.
Hey dear, love the quilts! I had a question.. I know it’s hard to tell in pictures sometimes because the lighting can be so different.. but is your background fabric white? Or is it a natural color? *trying to compare it to the white in some of the coins* I’d love to know what it is they’re beautiful!
so lovely!!
they look great. i like the solid binding too. classic.
They both look great! Have fun with the next set
These are beautiful—I so love coin quilts. Lucky babies!
Of course I suppose it makes perfect sense to sort of “assembly line” this particular quilt, since it even looks like an assembly line! Yet, the result is magical and I agree with you on the solid binding. Love it.
I love both of these quilts, especially side by side like that. Great idea with the solid binding to frame the quilts – very nice work!
Absolutely stunning as always.

I love all the fabrics! I want each of them in turn. I love the owls and I see the Heather Ross horses peeking out there. It’s like a cavalcade of gorgeous fabrics. I put some beautiful fabrics up on my blog today too.
You are so talented! They are beautiful!
i love how you actually finish quilts…could you send a bit of that mojo my way.
They are fabulous! What wonderful baby quilts!
Those are just adorable…so beautiful.
How gorgeous! I love that owl- fabric you used in the coin stacks.
That car fabric is too darned cute!
Cute! Cute! Cute! Love how you used extras on the back.
Beautiful work!
Lots and lots of baby quilts – love these as much as the last ones!
i can’t decide if i love the fronts or the backs better! they turned out so great. you do coin quilts so well!!!
Well done! They look awesome!
I’m working on 2 baby quilts at the same time too – but they’re not identical. And I agree – smaller quilts are not so… overwhelming!
Absolutely lovely. I just love coin quilts and these baby ones are so pretty. And although they are almost the same, with the different binding there is a different feel to them.

I am new here, did you ever post how to make these, I want to start quilting and I don’t know one thing about it, this looks like the overall design might not be too tough…or not?
I haven’t posted a tutorial for these but you can find one here: http://www.modabakeshop.com/2009/02/stacked-coins-baby-quilt.html
These are darling! I just love this simple pattern and you’ve put it together so well. The detail on the backs is great too. Nice to find your site.
