Baby quilt makin’ machine.

That’s what I feel like these days!

Two more tops finished:

Will I ever tire of really colorful baby quilts filled with whimsical fabrics?  I don’t think so!

Cars

I don’t think I’ve yet mentioned how much this new broke my heart.  No more new Heather Ross fabrics??  The preciousness of every bit I own just increased.

While it’s fast and effective to make multiple quilts of the same pattern at once, I’m ready for something that is more organic.  I have three more of these quilts cut out but after I finish those I’m going to have to make something that makes me feel less machine-like. I’ll be due some improv piecing by then!

Wonderful quilts – and wow, you certainly are a quilt making machine! I’m also really sad about the HR news – those prints are some of my favorites!

Seems like doing baby quilts frees us up to be a little more crazy, a little more whimsical and colorful and experimental than quilts designed for grownups. Hmm. There must be a lesson in there somewhere……

You’ve got a great eye for pairing fabrics. What I take a most from your quilts is that the center squares look best when they are slightly off-center. It’s really magical how you place the design.

Wow, these are just so cute. You really have a good eye for placing the fabric patterns and combining the color so they are more than just adorable but strong visually. Well done.

The colors you chose are great. Baby quilts are such an instant gratification type of project. I am in the midst of working on a twin size quilt for my daughter. Quilts for kids are my favorite to work on because I know that the recipient will be free of judgment.
