The Bushfire Quilt project
Tia over at Camp Follower Baby Lady is organizing a lot of quilts being made for the victims of the fires in Victoria, Australia. It’s such a quick and easy way for us to help out in our own way. She’s having people make wonky stars which I’d never done and is so much fun and a great way to use up scraps! I might have to make more of them…

funny to think that they will be part of a bigger project on the other side of the earth (from my viewpoint).

The air here is really hazy today. The fires are still burning. This project is so wonderful, I’ll make some too.

Thanks for the information. When I saw them on your blog last night, I headed over to Tia’s and made two. I will send them out this morning. I too may need to make more at some point. It is a fun design.

your stars are GREAT! i’m going to have to make some, too. i’ve always wanted to try that technique, now i have the perfect reason to.
Where did you get that really neat leaf print in the middle of one of the stars?
