haha. Alissa, this was so funny. It really brightened up my day. Thanks!
Oh, and your quilt looks fabulous with gray!
wow, beautiful! i love you gray.
oh! I’m loving dark greys at the moment too. I have actually sewn with any, but I’m looking left and right for the perfect grey prints. What solid grey are you opting for?
how beautiful! the grey really does look great with those bright colors.
Oh no, what will chocolate ever do?? Hopefully you are not quitting the candy too? I do love the gray in this quilt. It was the right choice, chocolate will just have to understand.
I love love LOVE IT!!!
Great choice! I adore grey as well
Grey and yellow is the new chocolate brown and pink!!!
i love greys to!
Oh, I love it! Looks greeat! Although in general I think it’s a hard call between chocolate brown and dark gray…
Oh, my goodness, did I ever laugh at this one! I am still keeping dark brown in my colour harem though grey is getting more attention these days…. I can never be faithful to one just one neutral. I need them all. Except for white. I could trade in white.
Oh Love!!
Well, who can blame you?! But you still have some white in there.
Very nice!!
I think you and grey will be very happy together hehe
Lovely! Is it Kona Coal?
you crack me up! work with what makes you happy.. that’s what i say!
love it! and also love grey alot too…i need to use it more.
Grey appears to be sweeping the nation(s)!
Gorgeous quilt Alissa.
Just sublime.
Love the gray
beautiful! (I can’t believe gray is cheating on me…with you!)
Gorgeous–no one could blame you!
I love me some gray! And I love Rossie’s comment!
i really love the look of this! the thin stripes and dots are a great combo. don’t you love grey??? i just did a munki munki christmas quilt, and used a new (smokey/heathered) gray flannel sheet for the sashing (flannel b/c the munki was all flannel). it really made the colors pop!! i’m sooo with you on the gray!!
I’ve been in love with Grey for awhile! Is this Kona Coal? I just cut up two yards last night for my latest quilt!
Very pretty!
It’s not Kona Coal. Was at Joann’s and they didn’t have it so it’s a different 100% cotton from there. I was impatient! It’s really close to the Kona Medium Gray I’d say.
Ha!! I’m allowing us to have an open relationship.
Nope – a different 100% cotton from Joanns. I’d say a little closer to the Kona Medium Gray but kinda in between that and the Kona Coal.
Very, very nice! Those are great colors, and again, loving those rectangles!
I have been loving grey in the last few years. It hasn’t made it’s way into a quilt yet, but I just bought a whole bunch of a medium light grey to use in something!
This is an amazing quilt! I just love it Alissa!
Tina
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!!! that’s all that needs to be said…..LOVE!
Was it Quilters Solids, or one of those newer expensive “organic” solids? I never bought any of their non-Kona solids while working there but was curious about them…have you washed it? How did it wash up?
Oh ummmmm I LOVE this quilt, too, btw.
Great quilt! From another HUGE fan of grey.
and with orange…it’s heaven.
