Gabe’s quilt top finished

Finally got the quilt top finished up! This whole being a parent thing sure is a time suck. But I’m loving and savoring every minute while he’s a tiny lil’ guy… And we lucked out – he’s very easy going and eating and sleeping like a champ.

I love the Monsterz line for a baby quilt and think this design features it nicely. I’m going to use a lot of it on the back too…

In other news – on the parenting front I’ve learned one thing for sure: people love to give your baby shoes. It’s so cute I had to take a photo.

Shoes

My sister put it best… “Your kid is like freakin’ Imelda Marcos!”

    The Quilt is aswesome! So boy. :) I love all the little shoes. I love finding cute shoes for my boy that aren’t covered in characters. :)

    That quilt is going to be so adorable. I love seeing great quilts (and fabrics) for boys. That is a crazy amount of shoes! I don’t think anyone gave me baby shoes, but he had about a zillion hats.

    Oh my goodness. Great quilt top! But you do realize that he probably won’t wear any of those? Baby shoes are notorious for falling off and you’ll likely give up on him wearing them.

    Love this quilt! Great use of those MonsterZ and orange is always my favorite. Oh and the funniest thing about those shoes is he’ll never wear them!

    Hi, BEAUTIFUL QUILT. Love it. Did you finish it yet?
    Just wondering, what is the size of the overall quilt?? And what are the widths of the stripes??

      Hi Carrie – Thanks! I haven’t finished the quilt yet. I’ll get to it soon! The quilt is 45″ x 60″ and the strips are 2″ wide if I remember correctly.
