love this quilt, nice change from the super-scrappy handpieced hexagons. i’m starting a big hex quilt, your floating hexes are a great inspiration!

Thanks Bonnie! I used the template that I linked to in the post (the flickr group the link takes you to says who to email to get the template). Then I just off set the rows so that the hexagons in color were surrounded by white, rather than lining them up so that the white matched up to make more hexagons. Hope that makes sense!

oh I love it – this is my favourite hexagon quilt ever. I too like how the hexagons are offset creating the floating look. They look so fresh and peaceful. Beautiful
