When I feel like making something that I know I’m going to finish in one or two sewing sessions, I tend to make purses. I wish I had the courage to start making myself some clothes but it just isn’t calling me… Hopefully some day. A skirt or two – that’s what I need to start with!
Here are some of the bags I’ve made:
And here are the results of my obsession with the wonderful Mail Sack Pattern from Pink Chalk Studio. Kathy’s blog was one of the first that I stumbled across when I started discovering the crafty blog world and it has provided me with endless inspiration!

Beautiful! I use my mail sack all the time…
Lovely bags! I especially like the blue one with the appliqued flowers. Is it from a pattern? Or did you design it? Very inspiring!

Thanks so much Rebecka! So nice of you.
The blue (it’s denim) bag with flowers was based on the wasp bag pattern found here: http://machenmachen.wordpress.com/patterns/
I modified the size, but otherwise it’s the same.
And I can’t remember where I got the inspiration for the flowers – almost certainly by surfing around flickr I suspect!
Nice bags! Beautiful and practical, just the way I like em. Really digging the big o ring on the zip pouch. I need to find some of those…
Do you do online ordering? I live in Prince Edward Island, Canada and would love one of your bags.
