I’ve decided it’s way past time to be labeling my quilts – but didn’t have the patience to wait the time it would take to get them made before finishing my last quilt, so I embroidered one!
I figure that it’s not like I make so many quilts that I can’t manage to make a tag for each one, right? I like the result and I think that it sticks with the “handmade” idea. Plus, I really like the idea that I can change the colors and the label can match the quilt. I’m thinking this might become my standard way of labelling! Quilts at least… for other items, it would be too labor intensive…

What a neat idea for a quilt label. I usually just print up the information I want on the quilt with either the fabric sheets or some Bubble Jet set and my computer printer. Then I appliqué it to the back. Your looks better!
Great idea! And I love that it matches the quilt so well.
Genius!
I’ve been wrestling with the idea of quilt labelling too…
maybe I should learn to embroider…
I love your new label! I actually ordered labels a few weeks ago, but I like your idea better! (although I guess it doesn’t truly matter since I haven’t finished any quilts yet!)
I really like that idea! I may have to try it for my more special quilts. (don’t know if I could stick to it for each one.)
I have thought of this but haven’t taken the time to do it! Thanks for sharing
I love the handmade label! It looks perfect with the quilt!
I love this label, in fact, I think it’s my favorite quilt label. It’s perfect, I love the simplicity of it.
What did you stitch it on, linen? Nice.
