I love keeping my hands busy with these little hexes! Something so cute about each one and the little bundle they create with their little paper inside. They sure do make it easy to cut into the precious scraps.
Not going to think long term at all about this project. Who knows what these will become or when it will be finished. Just enjoying that they give me a sense of accomplishment while I watch a couple of hours of tv in the evenings.
Off topic - I wanted to mention because some of you asked, the Purl Soho warehouse is in Tustin in Orange County and it’s open to the public. Location and number found here!

I was there last week and scored a nifty pack of bright prints! Aren’t the ladies that work there charming?
so pretty! i’m kind of addicted too, and in fact you’ll be seeing a pretty similar blog posting from me later on this week!
I love sewing little hexes ^_^ it can be very relaxing
Right there with you.
I never thought I would love something like handsewing 1 inch hexagons. But I do…
I love hexagons – its how I first got into patchwork and they have been really useful for me to do on the train. I need 100 blocks of 7 for a quilt (30 down, 70 to go – this will be a v. long term project!!)
i so want to try these! i actually enjoy handsewing and this seems to be the perfect thing to work on while waiting for baby to arrive
they sure look pretty like this … you’ve got me wondering whether I shouldn’t try this … mmmmm
Hexes are such a nice little project to have in the background for when there are 15 mins to spare. Teresa x
So cute…I’m doing hexes for the first time right now….and not very well either. Wish wish wish I were going to the meeting tonight. Have fun! One day I will make it down….
I will never again have the patience for hand piecing, after learning how to sew as a child piecing by hand 1″ squares…! did that for a good couple years, I think. anyway, I’m thinking about how stinkin’ cute these might be butted up to one another and connected with a small, colorful machine zigzag. <3 as if I need another 'to-do' on my list!
what a great little stack! i should really find a project like this…i waste a lot of airport time…this would be good.
I love this little pile! I totally feel you on keeping the hands busy while watching TV! I won’t hold my breath, but I can’t wait to see what you do with these.
i heart hexagons too… i use the plastic templates b/c they are re-usable & your basting stitches are all on the back so you don’t have to remove them!
Love hexagons!! They speak to me. Yours are darling.
Watch out, those hexagons can become additive. An occasional fussy cut piece really adds to the overall zing.
