My first give away!!

Ok – so I didn’t sign up for Sew Mama Sew’s give away day, but when I woke up this morning and started to read all of my usual crafty blogs, I was wracked with guilt and a desire to be a part of it all! So I’m having a give away too!!

See all this fabric in this photo?!? I think that MAYBE there’s enough there to make you a mini quilt! Beans, my cat, agrees.

Give away

Just leave me a comment with your favorite color combination and one lucky winner will get a mini quilt made by me in those colors. Good luck!

Quick edit: Clearly I’m new to this and forgot to mention how long it will last. Let’s say 12:00 PM (pacific time) on Friday the 5th!

I think you may be green and redded out, so I’ll pick a third color for the combo – blue.

  2. Stephanie December 3, 2008 at 9:43 am #

Your sweet! I love blue/green but I’m also loving red/pink. Sometimes I have a hard time making decisions. :o) I’m having a give away too and didn’t even know about the Sew Mama Sew giveaway day. Mine ends today…in case you want to enter.

Oh man…. you might be inspiring me to do the same thing today…. oy. But of course I have to put my hat in to try to win one of your beautiful quilts! I love the green/blue/pink combo of the apple fabric along with Amy Butler’s lotus (I think it’s lotus) pink flowers! Oooh so cute.

  8. Doris December 3, 2008 at 9:59 am #

I love aqua and red as a combo, but seriously, I like any of the fabrics pictured here and wouldn’t complain about any of them in my quilt…

  9. Allison December 3, 2008 at 10:01 am #

You’re awesome for participating on the side! I like pretty much everything except for excessive amounts of green… And Beans reminds me a bit of one of my cats (you can see what I mean here: – maybe a little obnoxious at times, but so darn cute he’s forgiven instantly!

  12. MichelleB December 3, 2008 at 10:09 am #

Right now it happens to be pink. But, as I’m sure you know, color combo favorites change all the time. Even in a single day they can change multiple times.

  13. Cami December 3, 2008 at 10:09 am #

Such great fabics! Is the kitty included? :-) My newest favorite color combination is gray and orange. But I really love pinks.

Pinks and reds, can’t go wrong with those two colors! Maybe with a bit of aqua as accent color ; )

  18. Sarah December 3, 2008 at 10:42 am #

I’ve been trying to get into pinks lately. I’m feeling guilty about being give-away-less today too. Oops!

  19. nanann December 3, 2008 at 10:45 am #

hmmm, I don’t see much green on there, but I would say pink and green.

and how ’bout the guilt from those of us who are completely blogless?? Still doesn’t stop me from signing up for some of the give-aways though. :) you’ll be happy to know that that I’m not trying for all the giveaways — I have to be excited about the prize, and I’m excited about yours!

  20. Marit December 3, 2008 at 10:45 am #

You are very generous. I do like blue….

  22. Christina December 3, 2008 at 10:58 am #

I know what you mean about “feeling guilty”…i’m there, too. But I just don’t think I have the time to host one right now. So I guess i’ll just have to play along in the comments. :) Another mini quilt for the walls in the craft room would be wonderful! I love all bright and cheery colors! I can never pick just a few.

  23. Asia December 3, 2008 at 11:04 am #

Teal and brown is just delicious!! Thank you for taking the time to blog. I’m in desperate need of things to do during my work day, and for some reason, reading blogs is more apprpriate than bringing my craft projects with me to work. :)

  24. sarah December 3, 2008 at 11:11 am #

i am loving pink and grey and blue and grey right now. I am making some baby blankets for gifts and just love the combos.

  28. Carrie December 3, 2008 at 11:37 am #

With all the family holiday hubbub, I wasn’t able to participate in the SMS giveaway either. Wow, a mini quilt handmade by Alissa is really going to make someone’s day!

  29. Edie December 3, 2008 at 11:38 am #

I seem to be in an orange and pink phase (that used to sound really bad to me, but right now it is just perfect).

  36. John December 3, 2008 at 12:26 pm #

What a great giveaway! I’d love to win. As for favorite color combos, here are a few of my favorites: orange & grey, orange & light blue, light blue & khaki, orange & pink (can you tell I like orange?) and a new favorite: red & teal. But any combo made from that fabric pile would be just fine! : )

  37. Sandy December 3, 2008 at 12:26 pm #

You have such a great eye for color combos, this is a little intimidating. :) That linen is catching my eye… it would look great with a bright green or blue.

I’m also redoing my baby room, so anything with sage would be perfect….

  42. terriaw December 3, 2008 at 1:17 pm #

  49. Kat December 3, 2008 at 2:53 pm #

Oh, how nice of you! I’m really loving the saffron piece that’s sticking out of the middle of the box. I would love a quilt with that, and I think it would look good with a number of other colors. Blue, or pink…whatever you advise.

  50. Tara December 3, 2008 at 3:18 pm #
