Here it is! Before and after…
I have to say… I’m in love. The ceilings are really low (completely fine since I’m 5’3″) so the whole place is a bit like a cozy sunny cave. There’s lots of sun and I painted it a nice bright yellow (since some of you have been asking, it’s a Behr paint called “Spiced Butternut”) to add to the warmth and light. At first I thought it might be too bright, but my design wall covers up the biggest wall space so it works.

And my fabric closet. It is immediately to the left when you walk in – before the two steps up to the work space. This is the most organized it will ever be and there’s even room to grow!
I’m really at home in this space. I can’t wait to make tons of quilts here!
Off topic – as of yesterday I’ve had my blog for two years. Hurray! It’s been so wonderful getting to know all of you during that time, so thank you!!

I love the yellow, so bright and sunny. The closet looks great, you inspired me to go thru my scrap bin and clean it up as well. Love the quilts on the wall as well.

Alissa, it’s perfect! I don’t think the color is too bright at all. The darker floors really grounds it and look fantastic with the color. I’m looking forward to seeing all the wonderful things you make in this room. Congrats!
I LOVE it! The steps make it look like a little stage (which, of course, it is!). I think the wall color is really lovely. I would want to spend all day in that little nook! (Your new project looks great too!) Happy sewing.

I wish I had a sewing space like that. RIght now I’m crowded into a corner in 2 room apartment with my fiancé who also has a corner for his photo stuff.
Looks like a dream location to create and sew. Yellow is a perfect colour for the walls…just makes you feel happy!
