First some piecing…

Peicing

…and then some quilting!

Now I’m stitching the binding.

Oh you know, just boarded the loft, got up at 5am to have a car-boot sale, delivered left-overs to charity shops, renovated the garden, cleaned the house, re-organised our entire closet … not much really!!

I’ve been meaning to ask how you’ve been finding your Janome. I am going to buy a new machine and it is my forerunner in the selection race – I love the idea of more throat room and being a quilter-specific machine. Any chance of a post saying how you find it?

P.S Love the colours in that quilt, esp the dark turquoise/cyan.

I love to see other folks sewing space. I actually sewed most of the weekend. I got bindings on three quilts and finished piecing another one. I also found time for some liberated stars and scrap blocks. Now to figure out what to do with the stars and scrap blocks!

Love this quilt. I trimmed HST’s all weekend. Yikes. Now I have to finish a project so I at least have one finish for March (I do have tons of starts tho)!

Wow… that’s quite a lot done! Well, over the weekend, I cleaned, oiled and changed the needle on my machine! :D And I put away (a lot of) fabrics too. I just had to tidy up somewhat so that I can focus on my sewing, which I’m planning to work on this weekend. :D

No sewing because my machine is behaving very badly. I’m thinking of getting a new Janome, would you mind telling me how you’re liking the machine?

So lovely!! The pop of orange is my favourite bit.

This weekend I managed to finish two baby quilt tops and one pieced back for the girl quilt. Hopefully I’ll get them quilted soon so I put the binding on while I’m on my road trip in a couple of weeks!

it looks absolutely scrumptious, Alissa. I was working on a baby quilt this weekend also…I love how quickly a baby quilts go in comparison to a large quilt.
