Obsessed?

You know you’re obsessed with fabric when you have a dream that your one yard of gray Kei Dots was exposed to the H1N1 virus and you’re being required to mail it to the CDC.  Yes.  I actually had that dream. It was more of a nightmare, really!  I’m sure that you readers can understand.

But I guess that the gray dots were on the brain because I’ve started a new quilt with them.  First I pulled all of the basics that I currently can’t get enough of:

Rainbow

I love a rainbow!  Notice the 100% lack of purple.  That’s not because I chose to leave it out.  That’s because I have zero.  Absolutely none.  And you know what, I’m not sure that I mind so much. Anyhow, some editing was in order so I came up with this.

Edit

And a bad photo of the very very beginnings of the next quilt:

Beginnings

I’m thinking that including gray solid is in order. We’ll see what it becomes…

Oh my goodness, I had a dream about fabric this weekend too! I dreamed that I won yards and yards of Figgy Pudding in a contest, but I couldn’t get it for some reason. Very frustrating! Love your new beginnings.

Love the ladybug fabric! Who makes that?
    Thanks!

I love the fabric. But as for H1N1…we may have just added it to our house. My youngest is being tested for it this afternoon. And boy is she miserable! Hope it stays out of your house and definitely away from your fabric!

I’m beginning to think that an obsession with dots may be the new pandemic among quilters. I’m totally hooked. I worked with some of the gray Kei dots in a recent swap, and that was the beginning of the end!!

  11. Mocca-cat Says:

Some people see dots when they get fever… Buy some Red Cedar oil, it should keep you fabics healthy.

  12. Cristin Says:

I dream about quilting all the time!!! And I have an order of Kei dots that are supposed to be arriving any day… I hope the CDC doesn’t snag them first!

  13. Alissa Says:

Hi Chris! I got them from Sew Deerly Loved on etsy. She set up a preorder for a bunch of us, but I think there’s still plenty more in her etsy shop!
