I now have most of my blocks from the 12 Squared Bee. I’m not sure how I’m going to put them together…
With sashing?
No sashing?
“Reassembled” blocks?
Some of both?
Or I might go in a completely different direction all together! We’ll see!
In other news, we just found out that we’re moving. To the house directly next door to my sister. Needless to say, that’s great! The house is slightly bigger than where we are now (we’re talking moving from 700 square feet to 850? Maybe?) and I’ll have a dedicated sewing space so we’re really excited. It’s gonna make the blogging mellow for a bit but you’ll all be here when I get back, right?? We’ve been in our place for almost seven years so there’s loads of packing that has to happen that will cut into the sewing time! I can’t wait for a fresh start with a new place though. It’s a cute little old house (old for California – build in 1927) that we’re excited to make our own!

Reassembled blocks with sashing. Oh wait that wasn’t an option… still my vote though!
You could also do some stairstep action – maybe with sashing between to give a less traditional look.
#3 Reassembled with sashing.
I was going to say what Katie said: Reassembled blocks with sashing. They are lovely!
I like the 4th picture!
I like them all, but #3 has to be my favorite, the reassembled blocks. While I like them all, I think #1 is my least favorite if I had to choose.
I love those blocks!! I would go for the “no sashing” option.
I’m loving the last picture – looks pretty funky.
O my gosh; you–as in more than one of you–live and quilt in a 700 sq ft space? You are my hero. (O, and the blocks are fabulous either way!)
Pic #1!!!
Wow, a move *up* to 850sq ft???? Boy am I spoiled, I don’t know how you Californians do it!
Have fun with finally having your own space!
How about no sahsing with one block turned a different way, just for fun?
Good luck with the move.
Oh goodness, they’re all pretty amazing. I think #3 and #4 are my faves… maybe #4 a little more?
Congrats on finding a house right next to your sister’s! I’d love it if my sisters and I could all live in a row.. of course my husband would probably wish himself deaf lol
My vote would be for the “some of both”! I love that it looks both chaotic and organized. The fabrics you picked are simply lovely together!
And good luck with the move! I cannot think of anything better than living right next to my little sister- too bad we are in different countries at the moment!
Krissy
i’m gonna be the odd one out and say i like 2 the best. but they’re all great…can’t really go wrong.
I vote no sashing with a big fat solid border on it.
But I love them all.
I’m loving option #2!
ooh, definitely choice #2…no sashing
I’d like the last option (a little of both) with sashing but no matter what you do it will be great!
We have 3 grown kids in CA so I know how expensive housing is. DH and I have moved so many times I can’t even count them all so I understand about packing….and I’ll be here when you get back
Good luck
I can’t decide on a layout…I like them all!
Congratulations on your new place! To be next door to your sister, now that would be something. My sister and i are at opposite ends of Canada, in Vancouver and Charlottetown! I like reassembled blocks with sashing, myself.
I think it needs some sort of sashing. I like the third layout best, and the first is my second favorite.
love the last option – and yeah for the move! How fun…and we’ll be right here when you get back!
I like the “some of both.” Good luck with the move!
i really like the “some of both” with “reassembled blocks” in a close second. good luck moving!
I’m with Katie. I love the reassembled blocks with sashing. Good luck on the move.
I love the last arrangement of the reassembled blocks with sashing, but really you can’t go wrong! A lot of great ideas!
Sorry I’m no help at all …. I love them all!
“Some of both” is my favorite. Good luck with the move!
I love the last iteration. A little order amungst a bunch of chaos.
Good luck with the move!
i say reassembled!!
#1 is my favourite!
How about putting the #1 option into vertical columns? (Gees Bend style)
Good luck with the move!
; )
On Point! I can see “V’s”
My vote is to go with the 3rd and 4th pictures… AWESOME!! The movement in the quilt keeps the eye interested way longer than the 1st too!
They look great! Made me want to do a quilt like that!!
Good luck with figuring it out!!
oops! “1st too!”…. I meant: 1st two!
I like the reassembled blocks, but I LOVE the last one.
Congrats on the new place! Dedicated sewing space is VERY exciting.
I like all the layouts, but my favorite is #1…not the most popular choice, but I like the pattern it makes.
Reassembled with sashing. Congrats on the “bigger” space. Every little bit counts, right?
I love the reassembled look, with or without sashing. I hope you get the rest of your blocks soon!
Congrats on your new place, a dedicated sewing space is awesome!
I like options #1 and #3, but I am an old fashioned gal who likes ‘sashing’. Beautiful work!
I say, no sashing!
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, love the quilt, I’m totally inspiried, I want to quilt!
I like #3- the “reassembled” one!
