Here’s some quick photos of the latest simple baby quilt top. Half of a set of two quilts for twin girls.
Not sure what to do for the second one… I’m thinking the same fabrics in a different simple design? Not sure… anyone else made quilts for twins or have any ideas? I’ve found it really fun in the past.
I love the challenge of making two quilts that are a set, but not exactly the same. Also, I probably enjoy it even more because I AM a twin!

Could you make the other one with the same fabrics and make it strips? I used this pattern called “Urban Amish” and it worked out great. (http://www.shopquiltology.com/urban-amish-pattern1.html) I could share my pattern with you if you are interested.
cute, I love the colors. I’ve always been a fan of pink and green. you could do a stripes quilt (amanda jean did one during her baby quilt week.)
I haven’t ever done quilts for twins, but it would be fun.
It looks great. I love the simple blocks. I agree, maybe a strip type block like a Rail Fence using the same fabrics. Bind them both with different fabrics like the others. All of your quilts are gorgeous.
It is a bit late, but I did I SPY twin quilts – same pattern (Shooting star) different colored star points & a wide mix of conversationals, some repeated in the quilts some did not. (Pre-blogging/flickr, so no photos.)
I made quilts for my twin nieces, the overall design was very similar but changed some of the fabrics so they were a bit individual.
For your second quilt I would keep the majority of the same fabrics but change a few of the colours and keep the same pattern. Have you thought about stitching their first name on the front, one letter in each square?
I was going to suggest a strip quilt, too. cute and fun and easy. or else you could make another quilt with squares like this one, but change up a few colors in the next quilt, like Gillian suggested. I love a just plain squares quilt.
nice color selection, by the way! funny that we both posted pink and green baby quilts today.
hmmm. i say smaller sized squares for the next quilt. that way they are twins but not exactly.
Sigh. Every single quilt you make is gorgeous. And that’s saying a lot, because you make so many of them!!
Also, I think we need to do a scrap swap sometime. You have impeccable taste in fabric.
You have done a great job. I love it. I hope I can show a finished quilt one day.
You are so fast! I love all the pinks and greens in this one, and I can’t wait to see what you decide to do for the second quilt…
So many good suggestions above. I like the strips idea or changing the green accents to another color. Or you could applique an initial or simple object on each one. I can’t wait to see what you do.
Your quilts are lovely.
I love how simple it is, and your fabrics are great! Have you decided on the other? I finished a large half triangle quilt recently. It was simple and fun to put together. . . I can share measurements if you like?
