I finished up the placemats that I made for the LAMQG holiday swap. Chris got them last night and she loved them! She had asked for something for her kitchen with blues, neutrals and a vaguely beachy vibe.
They are so simple and quick to sew up. I used linen for the background fabric, Konas Teal and Coal and the light blue is a Moda Crossweave.
Corners!
The simple dense straight line quilting makes them lie nice and flat.
I’ll post a little pattern for these later this week. They would make a great Christmas gift for a friend!

I do love them…..ALOT! the thing is though, I don’t think anyone will EVER be able to eat over them!!!
Gorgeous!!! My little sis needs some placemats and these might be just the ticket! Thanks for sharing!
Love these – definitely a vague beachy vibe. Love your woven look design.
Wow! They look great.
The colors really speak well with each other, and I love the simple, modern design. Christmas gift inspiration for sure!!

These are beautiful. So simple and modern. Perfect design i’ve been looking for for my sister. Looking forward to the tutorial.
They are so crisp and clean looking. Not even “my” look, but I would enjoy making them!
These are wonderful! You definitely met the modern, beachy feel. So serene.
These are just perfect and fresh and modern and beautiful!
