I always love when you first see the quilt in your head.
For me it then gets quickly drawn and I pull loads of fabrics.
Usually I instantly want to get started…
… and make some progress! I’m auditioning this green as the background but I’m thinking it’s not right. We’ll see.
Hope that you all gets loads of sewing in this weekend!

Alissa, me too – I can’t wait to get started and see what it looks like – then my enthusiasm slows down for the finishing!!
Loving the blocks but I’m not sure on the green…too blue for the blocks so far? Such a cute idea, the sketch says it so well.
Very fun! Maybe a green with a touch more blue in it?
Adorable! I’m getting ready to start a baby quilt for my cousin and I’m openly admitting that I’m going to steal this idea.
Maybe a green with more of a yellow tone?
Definitely not feeling that shade of green… perhaps one with more grey? Or how about a very light grey instead? I’m just partial to grey, obviously lol
The blocks are lovely but I’m with you about the background. It’s so hard to choose isn’t it?
I like your plans for this quilt – also not feeling the love for that green, tho. I’m sure you’ll find something that pleases you!
I love the idea. I agree with kaelin- the green i think needs to be more yellow to pull it together with the orange. And I can see a little bit of that Alexander Henry Owls- I have made a quilt from this, only it had a cream background. Look forward to seeing how this develops. Good luck! Suz
Love the color palette you are working with! The green and the orange/yellow is a perfect combination, and not too bright! Love it!
Very cool color combinations and prints! I love how the fabric with the circles add alot of movement to the squares.
