…is that I’m pregnant!! Needless to say, we’re very excited over here. Though it’s been a rough couple of months. Boy did that “morning” (WTF with that term?!? it’s all. freakin’. day. long.) sickness knock me out. I completely lost my sewing mojo and it has been getting me down.
But things are getting better now! I’ve been feeling better and have actually been able to get myself into the sewing room a bit more. We still have to wait about a month to know if it’s a boy or a girl and then the baby sewing is certain to start in full force!
And because I can’t post with no photo at all… Here’s a couple of ornaments I recently sewed up for an LAMQG swap.
Happy holidays to each and every one of you!!

Congratulations Alissa, that’s wonderful news! I just wanted to add a big thank you for inspiring me through your blog this year. I don’t comment often, but love to read your posts. I’m wondering whether there is a UKMQG for quilters in the United Kingdom (I’m in England) and if there isn’t, whether I should look into establishing it!
Oh, congratulations, how exciting! Let the baby sewing begin!
What delicious news.
Mazal tov!!!
Yay for baby! Hope you start feeling better soon…I could’t bear to sew when I was first pregnant…even the smell of fabric made me gag.
Merry Christmas! -Al
Oh Alissa, I’m so very happy for you! What wonderful news!! You are going to have so much fun having a little one around. It truly is amazing!
I know exactly what you mean about losing your sewing mojo – I even contemplated selling all my fabric, thinking I’d never want to sew again! Luckily it’s just a temporary feeling and you’ll be back at it in no time! Bring on the baby sewing!
Congratulations! What a wonderful way to start out a new year!
Congratulations! How exciting! It will get better!

Alissa – Congratulations! I am so happy for you. (Except for that part about the ‘morning’ sickness – I hope it dies down soon.) I can’t wait to see all the baby-inspired quilts over the next year.
Best wishes for a happy 2012!
