I got some good sewing time in this weekend after weeks away from my machine. It was so nice to be reunited. I took the time to work on a baby quilt for some friends having a baby girl. Their last name is Nice so I made The Nice Baby Quilt!
I picked fabric…
I pieced…
I basted…
And I got the whole thing quilted and bound!
Just the hand stitching of the binding now and I’ll be done. Sometimes it’s really nice to sew up a fast quilt.
Hope you all enjoyed your long weekends as much as I did!

Such great colors!!! And I totally agree — sometimes it IS really nice to do something that is quick!
Perfect weekend and great baby quilt! I just found some red/white Lizzy House ducks and snapped them up right away. They look great paired with the green and yellow!
I really like this – the colours are all perfect together!
I love that quilt! did you make those blocks following a pattern or ad lib? I am sure that the Nice baby will love it!
Hi Carin! Completely improv pieced! I start with strips that I sew together, chop up and sew together again… I completely wing it the whole way through. It’s so much fun!
Love the colors, very unique. Great blog, have enjoyed visiting.
You did that in a weekend? That’s amazing!
Oh-so-nice! Those pink ducks are so sweet.
How sweet is that quilt?! It’s so cute! …fast
…I’d still be on the piecing while second guessing my every move!
good to know, i guess we can’t be too careful
very interesting colors – i like it!
Love the improv! Keep the ideas coming
Cute! I’m ready for an easy stitched quilt here. I just had nightmare quilting a HUGE one.
