I committed to pebble quilting the queen size hexagons…
I’m gonna be at this for a long, long time. Otherwise, my sewing space is in the middle of a complete overhaul. Can’t wait to get it all organized again and show you all pictures!
Oh and there is a bunch of interest in a Los Angeles Modern Quilting Guild! 20 people or so already! I’m working on organizing it along with Latifah, so more progress on it soon…
Hope that you all had great weekends!

Hi! Love your site, it gives lots of inspiration. I am intrigued by this pebble quilting, I would love to see more detail on the process, or perhaps a tutorial? I’ve seen other internet quilters do this style quilting and I really like it. I just want to see how its done so I can give it a try, I’m a visual learner!
Looks good so far. I’m in for the Modern quilting guild, btw. I just have the one quilt done (which I’ll blog about soon, I promise!), but you’ll still let me in, right?
The last time I made a queen-sized quilt I stippled it, and totally regretted it halfway through lol I’ve got another queen-sized one in the works and I think I’m going to keep the quilting simple lest I go insane.
I love the look of the pebble quilting, did it take long to catch on to?
How in the world are you doing a queen size on your machine? And pebbles no less. You must be way more patient then me. I can’t stand fighting my bigger quilts through the machine. they normally get hand-quilted due to nowhere to put the rest of the quilt while I am working on the little area of it.
can’t wait to see it complete! the pebble quilt is going to make that quilt shine!
Wow Alissa that’s awesome! Is it difficult? And Teresa – you must join us in the Modern Quilt Guild. I’ve just completed one quilt as well!
let just say that i finished a pebble quilt debacle last week before heading back to LA.. and i know your pain.. i’ll be blogging about it early next week…
I can’t wait to see pictures of your sewing space! I’d also like to see pics of how you manipulate your queen size quilt through your machine!
