Hey LA people! Are you on the west side of town? I’m also teaching classes in Santa Monica at the Urban Craft Center! If you haven’t been there before, it’s a great space!
I’m teaching the basic “how to quilt” class over a couple of weekends this month (9/19 & 9/26) and next (10/18 & 10/25), but I’m also really excited about the improvisational piecing class that I’m teaching there in November on the 8th & 15th!
Want to learn to “wing it” with your quilt blocks and free yourself from always working with patterns? This is the class for you! Click on over for details and maybe I’ll see you there!

Wish I was in LA! The colours of that block are divine btw
Alissa! you have a little bit of fabric there that I’ve been wondering what it is, I’d like to get some. It is the little square on the left, blue and red flower/vine/leaf?? Thanks.
Hi Diane! That’s from the “Hello Betty” line that Moda released a bit ago… Hope you can find some!
How I wish I was there to take this class….maybe you will do an online tutorial of sorts….
You should move to Portland.
Too bad I am not in LA. Sounds like fun!
Darnit! I would love to take the funky/wonky log cabin class…but I’ll be in Germany visiting my husband for those 2 weeks! Shoot!
)
Are you planning on teaching it again in the spring? Pretty please?
I grew up in LA, but am now in the Bay Area, and I am SO wishing I could get down there for one of your classes. Surely there’s someplace near SF where you could teach a class?
Congratulations. I think its great to get more people doing hands-on activities. You are helping to preserve our sewing heritage. I too am in the LA area (Pomona Valley) and will be teaching my first quilt class at Fabric Patch.
We should connect and exchange notes, I’m teaching an improv piece here in Calgary in November.
are you having classes on the west side during Jan/Feb/Mar or April 2010?
would be very interested
